This poster, originally commissioned by the Puget Sound Partnership, features the 22 species of kelp found in the Puget Sound, WA. The abundance of kelp in Pacific Northwest waters (and all along the west coast) has declined significantly over the past several decades as ocean waters have warmed and critical habitat is threatened by impacts to water quality.
